Alex Donofrio: Cinematic House and Organic Chillout from New Jersey

If you're looking for a sound that takes you from the beach to the club without missing a beat, you need to meet Alex Donofrio. This electronic music producer, singer, and songwriter from New Jersey has earned a spot in my recommendations for one very clear reason: he fuses 4x4 house with a serene, organic chillout, creating cinematic soundscapes that sound just as good during the day as they do at night. He's already racking up 2,688 monthly listeners on Spotify, and honestly, it feels like one of those discoveries you brag about before it blows up.

A sound between the beach and the club

What makes Alex Donofrio special is that balance between rhythm and calm. He himself describes it as "the soundtrack for going from the beach to the club," and he's not exaggerating: you'll find the punch of four-on-the-floor house, wrapped in smooth, atmospheric textures. It's electronic music with soul, made for anyone who enjoys a peaceful sunset just as much as a high-energy dance floor. If you like producers who care as much about atmosphere as they do about the beat, here's one worth knowing.

Standout tracks you can't miss

His most-streamed track is Running In Circles, which already surpasses 13,159 plays and is the perfect gateway into his universe. Close behind are We Are Here (with over 5,200 plays) and Wait For You, two tracks that show just how well he handles melody within house music. And when he teams up with other artists, the result shines: Now That You're Gone, his collaboration with Kayrae, and Amorphous, alongside MKNZ, are great examples of his more collaborative side. His latest release, the single Salkantay, confirms he's coming in strong for 2026.

Perfect for…

This music fits perfectly into many moments. I recommend it for:

• Focus sessions or home office work with a great vibe.
• Working out or doing cardio with a steady rhythm that never lets up.
• A relaxed pre-game before heading out, or a laid-back afternoon on the terrace with friends.
• Moments of disconnection: traveling, driving, or simply calming your mind.
• DJs and curators looking for melodic house with cinematic texture.
